Dressed Up Muscle Tee

I love taking a basic piece from my wardrobe and dressing it up for a whole new look. It breathes new life into old favorites and expands the number of wearable outfits in my repertoire. This dressed up muscle tee was a great choice because the high neck detail is fun but the cutoff sleeves added a laid-back element. I could easily add a statement necklace and casual blazer to take this look from day to night.
The top was originally a workout tank that I didn’t wear very often. I saw that some bloggers do this challenge to style a piece in their closet that they never wear in a different way. This top was perfect for that challenge and I actually really like wearing it now as a dressed up muscle tee or layering tank.
I paired it with my favorite white jeans that have a great fit with great stretch but don’t lose their shape throughout the day. Being somewhere between regular and petite sizes make it hard to find jeans that fit just right but these fit the bill. These jeans also hit at the perfect length to compliment these amazing shoes. They are a classic d’Orsay style with a beautiful suede finish that looks and feels so soft. I’m kicking myself for not getting two pairs of these because I was told they would be discontinuing them soon.
Pairing some killer heels with simple denim and a dressed up muscle tee was a fun challenge but overall I am happy with the outcome. It made for a perfect outfit to run to meetings in and a great summer date outfit. Will be wearing this again, no doubt.
