Flannel and Flares

I hope you ladies had a good weekend! We had an epic day of wine tasting yesterday with our good friends and I gotta say after kids, I can’t hang! By the end of the day, I was exhausted and ready to sleep. Luckily, I’ve got one KILLER coffee recipe for you to kick this week off right. One of my besties was over this weekend and whipped up this crazy cup of coffee from things in my fridge that I’ve legit been drinking non-stop ever since. Take a plain cup of coffee, added a big splash of boxed chai, your preferred amount of milk/milk substitute, a drizzled of honey, and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. Winner winner chicken dinner! Whoa mama, talk about fall coffee at home in your kitchen that tastes better and is much less basic than a PSL.

I’m loving flare jeans with ankle boots and a flannel. Its a fun break from the usual skinnies and ankle boots but is still just as comfy and quintessential fall. I love they way flare jeans look, they are super flattering on top with a little movement and body at the bottom. These dark wash ones are particularly flattering because they give the illusion of long, lean legs and additional height.

This flannel was a target find and is surprisingly good quality. It’s super warm is still light and not bulky when you roll the sleeves. The half buttons give is a more feminine feel. Because it’s been so beautiful after all of this rain we did these outfit shots on this cute little hiking trail nearby. It winds back behind the vineyards which are barren now but are gorgeous when they are full. I can break out the jogging stroller and run for a few miles which is so much nicer than trying to run downtown. The views are breathtaking! It’s things like this that remind me how truly blessed I am to be healthy and happy and to be living in such a beautiful place.

I happened to be having a good hair day this day but it was super windy so you can’t tell. During the holiday sales, I’ve stocked up on my favorite Oribe products.
