Off The Shoulder Sweater

Off the shoulder tops are big this year and I finally gave in. I think it’s a really flattering look when done right. You can showcase beautiful jewelry or that tan you’re proud of or the shoulder work you’ve been putting in. It’s a tasteful way to show a little skin during the cooler months.

If you know anything about me it’s that most of my closet is gray. I LOOOOOOOVE gray! I always ask if it comes in gray. This outfit was a no-brainer because once I saw the boots I knew I would be wearing them with something gray on top and a pop of white. Pairing the off the shoulder top with over the knee boots was really fun because it’s an interesting contrast to have a long sweater and high boots. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it until I got it on, short girl probs, but I ended up loving it.

These OTK boots are a MAJOR find because I have never found over the knee boots that actually fit me height wise. I’m only 5’2″ so normally boots this high look and feel like waders on me which is not a cute look. These hit perfectly above the knee and came with a nice block heel for stability and some extra height, which helps to create that long leg line. Short girls, rejoice!

I also went for a pop of a red lip because I recently did this makeup campaign which challenged me to be more open to bold lip colors. This color is not one I would choose on my own. I just happened to be there one day when Laura Mercier had their global artists in town and Jerry Johnson, the makeup magician, put it on me and I fell in love. The color is Foreplay. It’s slightly more orange than a true red which gives your skin a really warm look and not washed out which was super important for me.

Let me know in the comments if you want to see makeup tutorials!!! I kind of want to do them but not if they are boring.
