My Daily Makeup Routine

My typical morning makeup routine is quick and easy. I thought I’d show you a look that I wear on a morning when I actually have the chance to get ready that only takes me 10 minutes tops(because, let’s face it, thats all the time I get to myself in the morning). I usually do my makeup with a coffee in one hand.

Having the right tools has cut down the time it takes me to get ready in the morning and I don’t know what I’d do without my brushes and Beauty Blender. I’d never owned a full matching set of makeup brushes before but Vanity Planet sent me their Palette Professional Makeup Brush Collection to try out and I’ve fallen head over heels for them. They are incredibly soft and easy to use but best of all they are 100% cruelty free! They are already on sale and you can use code BBPalette70 to get them 70% off. With a deal that sweet you can’t not buy them.

Dr. Jart+ gold label BB cream with spf has been my favorite product for years now because it matches my skin well and provides a little bit of coverage and a lot of skincare benefits. I use the foundation brush to apply it and only apply it where I really need it and blend it out. Its great for covering any discoloration and just smoothing out my complexion. I follow that with my trusty Bobbi Brown concealer which I apply with the concealer brush and blend it in with my trusty beauty blender.

I use the angled contour brush to apply bronzer where the sun would naturally tan my skin. I like to use Hula by Benefit because its matte and looks really natural on most skin colors. I sweep my hairline, temples, tops of my cheek bones, and jaw bone. I have a heart shaped face with a prominent jaw and cheekbones and I like to accentuate them without making my face look too angular. I use the fluffy powder brush to apply blush to the apples of my cheeks, its so soft and creates a pretty natural flush. I’ve been using this one from Rodial in the color Copocabana. I use my beauty blender to apply my Well People highlight. This is my favorite highlight because its all natural and not full of harsh chemicals. It’s gives me a soft glow which is perfect for the summer.

On days when I have an extra five minutes to play around with makeup I like to do a quick eye makeup look that makes my brown eyes pop subtly. For today’s look I used the Vanity Planet Perfect 10 palette for a simple, natural look. I watched all of the colors for you so you could see what they looked like on my skin. I’ve never swatched anything before and I should’ve done a better job photographing them(sorry!). I love how soft the colors are and how well they complement my skin tone and give me a sweet, sun kissed glow.

I use Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz on my brows in the color dark brown. I finish the look off by smudging my Marc Jacobs gel crayon liner into my lashes and a little black mascara.
