I am so happy wide leg denim is back in style because I always liked the look. It’s fun and different with such an iconic feel to it. What’s great about a good pair of wide leg jeans is that they will highlight the length of your legs all the way and create dimension and movement at the bottom. I find them to be very flattering. I picked this pair up at a local boutique over the weekend. They are Free People and fit so perfectly, the second I tried them on I knew I had to have them. They look so flattering with these wedge sandals which are so easy to walk in that I forget I’m wearing them. I pair them with wedges for a long, slender leg line.
Wide leg denim is fun to wear and can be styled a variety of ways. Playing around with shoes is a great way to change up the look of them because they look amazing with clogs, boots, and wedges. You could go more western with flat cowboy boots, boho with wooden clogs, or more LA street style by cropping them and pairing them with fitted ankle boots. I went with wedges because it’s summer here and I just got my hands on these beautiful Jeffrey Campbells. They run a little bit small so I sized up half a size and they fit perfectly.
These sandals are going to be huge this year. They are made from a lightweight material on the heel making them perfect to strut around town in or browse the local farmer’s market in. My favorite detail is the laser cutouts in the leather which has a fun, floral look to it and makes a big statement. The lace-up front makes them customizable for different foot shapes and desired looks. Even though you can’t see them under the wide leg denim, they make the perfect combo because they are so comfortable and give me an extra boost of height.
This comfy graphic tee is also from a boutique and was hand screened but I’ve seen similar ones all over. It just seemed perfect for the mood I was in and is a great transitional tee from summer to fall. I foresee myself wearing it a lot.
